In the upcoming film, Ruby Herring Mysteries: Her Last Breath, Ruby (Taylor Cole) finds herself in the middle of Detective Killian‘s (Stephen Huszar) investigation after the suspicious death of her friend, a fitness guru. When the death turns out to be a premeditated murder, Ruby is determined to find the killer.
Encouraged by her father John Herring (John Wesley Shipp), a legendary crime reporter, Ruby works in the shadows while she forms an unofficial alliance with Jake Killian.
Viewers were introduced to Ruby and Jake back in January in Ruby Herring Mysteries: Silent Witness. In it, Shawn Christian (Taylor Cole’s stepfather in real life) played Ruby’s dad, John. Because of scheduling conflicts and previous commitments, John Wesley Shipp (The Flash) takes over the role as Ruby’s father in this movie.
Ruby Herring Mysteries: Her Last Breath premieres Sunday, September 29 at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Actress Taylor Cole is a mainstay among Hallmark Channel movies so it’s no surprise that Cole leads the cast of a new original film, Ruby Herring: Silent Witness on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The film premieres Sunday, January 20 at 9 p.m. ET and stars Shawn Christian and Stephen Huszar. It’s the first time Cole and Christian have worked together since Summerland.
Ruby Herring is a television consumer reporter who becomes involved in a murder mystery while attending her sister’s wedding. When a baking magnate and old family friend is found dead just days before the wedding, Ruby conducts her own investigation much to the annoyance of Jake Killian (Huszar), the handsome detective assigned to the case. Encouraged by her father (Christian), an investigative reporter, Ruby looks for clues as she tracks down the killer.
